We are an Omaha design-build remodeling company, and we run our job sites the same way we run our client relationships.
Platte + Pine started because the remodeling experience for most homeowners is genuinely bad. Projects run long, prices creep up, contractors go quiet, and the homeowner ends up paying more than planned for something that is not quite what they pictured. We built this company to fix that, with clear scopes, fixed pricing, and a process that leaves very little to chance.
That is not just a sales pitch, it is a working condition. When the scope, the schedule, and the selections are settled before anyone picks up a tool, your day is spent building instead of guessing. The Work Is Planned Before It Starts
We are design-build, so the client has already seen the space in 2D and 3D and made their selections before demo day. You get a defined scope, a real schedule, and a fixed price to build to. There are no “we will figure it out as we go” conversations on a Platte + Pine job.
Craftsmanship Is the Standard
We take on high-end kitchens, bathrooms, basements, ADUs, and whole-home remodels, not volume work. We are invited guests in someone’s home, and the finish work has to hold up long after we hand back the keys. If you take pride in what you put your name on, you will fit here.
Straight Communication, Both Directions
We promise homeowners same-day communication, and the crew gets the same thing. You will know what is expected and why. When something on site is not right, we want to hear it early, not at the walkthrough. Bring the problem, bring a solution, and we will sort it out.

Rough and finish carpentry on high-end remodels throughout the Omaha metro. Framing and layout one week, cabinetry and trim the next, with defined scopes and 3D renderings to build from.

What kinds of roles do you hire for?
We hire across three areas: designers, project managers, and on-site production staff such as carpenters and lead carpenters. Anything currently open is listed above, but we accept applications for all three year-round.
What kind of projects would I be working on?
Kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, ADUs, and complete home remodels, all residential and all in the Omaha metro. We work in Omaha, Elkhorn, Bennington, Gretna, La Vista, Waterloo, Valley, and Fremont, so you are never far from the shop or your house.
Most of our clients live in their homes during the remodel. For our production staff, that makes protecting the space and cleaning up daily part of the job, not an afterthought.
Do you hire employees, subcontractors, or both?
Both. Our designers, project managers, and production staff are our own people, and we work with trade partners on every project for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and specialty scopes.
If you run a trade business in the Omaha area and you are reliable, licensed, and communicate well, we are always open to adding to our bench. Send us a note.
What is the hiring process?
Simple and quick. Email your resume, or just a short note about your experience with a few photos of your work. If it looks like a fit, we will set up a phone call, then meet in person, usually at one of our active job sites so you can see how we run things.
We review every application and will reach out either way.
Do I need my own tools and transportation?
Yes. Field roles require your own hand tools and standard power tools, plus reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. We supply the larger equipment and the materials.
What if nothing is posted right now?
